Applicants must supply a certificate of insurance naming the Corporation of the Town of Milton as additional insured, with Commercial General Liability coverage of at least $5 million per occurrence. Confirm your hauler already carries this coverage, since many disposal companies can add the town as an insured party at no extra cost.

The Halton Waste Management Site at 5400 Regional Road 25 sits inside Milton itself, open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., plus Sunday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon during May and June. The site takes debit or credit cards only; cash and coins aren't accepted.

Mixed solid waste over 150 kilograms is charged at $221 per tonne, while any load of 150 kilograms or less pays a flat $10 minimum. Drywall, shingles, scrap metal, appliances, and yard waste at smaller volumes fall under that same $10 minimum load charge.

Concrete or brick with embedded rebar, tree trunks longer than 2 metres or wider than 1 metre in diameter, and gas-powered equipment still holding fuel are all turned away. Asbestos is accepted only with prior approval and is billed separately at $442 per tonne.

Paint, solvents, batteries, and similar items go to the free Household Hazardous Waste Depot on-site in Milton rather than into a rented dumpster, capped at 20 litres per household per visit.
